This past weekend, we went down to Tallahassee to attend the funeral of Bobo's father. (In case you don't know, Bobo is Austin and Kendall's Uncle John.) We were glad to have the opportunity to visit with Bobo and his family. An added benefit was that we were able to visit with most of Scott's family while we were there. The best part of the weekend was that the kids had some good bonding time with their Uncle Tony, also known to our kids as the human jungle gym. We had pizza and ice cream, and Tante Barbara and Uncle Tony even let Austin and his cousin Ryan stay in their hotel room for the night. I was trying to go to sleep, and Austin called me about 6 times. He was fascinated with the hotel phone. "Hey Mom, did you know you could call a taxi from this phone?" "Hey Mom, we're watching the race!" "Hey Mom, can I talk to Kendall and tell her good night?" It was so funny. The whole time, I could hear Tony laughing in the background. So much for getting the kids to bed at a reasonable hour. But they made some great memories. That's what it's all about.
