Today is Scott's 37th birthday! Kendall and I made him a chocolate cake after school. She is becoming quite the little helper in the kitchen. She likes to wear her apron and help measure things. When Scott got home from work, she met him at the door yelling, "Happy Birthday, Daddy! We made you a chocolate cake!" He could already tell. Her face was covered in chocolate from licking the beater. The kids always insist on blowing out candles, even for adult birthdays. Well, all we had around here tonight were pink candles. Such is the life for a 37-year-old Daddy-he didn't care at all!

Glad to hear that Austin and Kendall had a great first day (and I believe Austin'll soon find out that 2nd grade includes more than just fun).
