Our Squeaky-Clean Boy
Last week, Austin took his shower in our bathroom instead of his bathroom a couple of times. The first night, he asked Scott if he could use our shampoos. Scott said that was fine. We have several kinds in there, but Austin was intrigued by the one that has a "citrus breeze" flavor. Well, two nights in a row, Austin got out wanting us to smell him. It's very common for me to give them a "smell test" to be sure they actually used soap, shampoo, or toothpaste, depending on what they're supposed to be cleaning. So I gave him a sniff. "Oooooh, smells like oranges!," I said. "But, Mom, smell my shoulders, too." Well, OK. His shoulders smelled good, too. So we went about our business. The second night, he asked Scott to smell him. Scott said, "Son, you're supposed to use that shampoo on just your hair, not on your body." Austin said, "Daddy, the bottle says 'Head and Shoulders,' so that's what I used it on!" It was all we could do to hold our laughter in. I just know he'll be a preacher or a policeman one day. He's all about following the rules, and making sure others do the same.
